care and feeding of poets

Since it is National Poetry Month, I'd thought it'd a great time for brief entry here on how to support us strange, not so elusive, poet creatures in the wild (or at least how to support ME..lol..).  We don't need book tours and advances and fancy sorts of attention, but it does help if we can connect to readers who like our stuff. There isn't much money in poetry, but there are so many other ways you can support the work we do, even if it's just following us on social media.  I create various print zines, chapbooks, and artist book projects/paper objects on the regular, as well as free e-zines, video poems, and other content like this blog. Here are some things to do to stay in the loop.

1. follow me on instagram or twitter for the latest news, project previews, publications, exhibits, readings, free e-chaps, video poems, and more.

2. subscribe to my tiny letter, PAPER BOAT, which is delivered monthly into your inbox with general newsiness on art & writing.

3. read the blog for behind the scenes looks, process notes, inspirations, writing related conversations and such.

4. peruse the printed material offerings in the dancing girl press & studio shop to purchase limited edition chaps, zines, and artist books

5. become a patreon subscriber for postcards, prints,  and the books and objects series delivered right to you via snail mail, as well as exclusive web content & sneak peeks.
