When I was 19 and in my Beat worshipping, black turtleneck wearing phase I scrawled this in one of my journals. Though I've only retained my love of Ferlinghetti, it still holds true and is somewhat beautiful..

I read this in college, too, and it still holds true for me, as well, and is beautiful.

I was into the Beats in high school. I even wrote a short story for my high school lit mag about a nudist colony inhabited by old beats. The town was called "Kirksy."
